21210040-1 - TECHNOLOGY, INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION - I MODULO

Aim of the course “Technology and innovation for sustainable production” is to analyze the main issues related to technology and technological innovation in order to better understand the current techno-social-economic scenario involved in the increasing international competitiveness and environmental issues.The relationship between scientific research and innovative companies will be investigated too as well as application of most uptodate technologies related to sustainable production and consumption. During the course the main methods and instrument for evaluating environmental impacts of different activities will also be discussed.

Modalità Erogazione

Head-on lectures held in the classroom by the lecturer (s); the lessons will eventually be integrated with seminars held by experts coming from companies and institutions; in addition students who attend the lessons are requested to realize a group project which will be evaluated as a parte of the final exam. The lessons can be integrated with online exercises also for the purpose of self-assessment by the students. * N.B: In case of an extension of the health emergency from COVID-19, the provisions of the University that regulate the methods for carrying out teaching activities and students' assessment will be strictly followed and lessons may take place using telematic instruments.

Modalità Frequenza

Class attendance is not mandatory but is extremely useful and thus encouraged. For students who do not attend classes, meetings are scheduled during the reception hours according to the established timetable which is published on the website of the Department of Business Studies, in the teacher's page and on the specific boards.

Modalità Valutazione

Evaluation of the achievement of training objectives will carried out by oral examination, added to the assessment of group project; the online exercises carried out during the course are mainly aimed at encouraging students' self-assessment. Different methods of assessment may be adopted in response to particular needs of students. * N.B: In case of an extension of the health emergency from COVID-19, the provisions of the University that regulate the methods for carrying out teaching activities and students' assessment will be implemented and exams may take place using telematic instruments.
